French:Cette composition a été réalisée avec un ARP 2500 (wing cabinet) lors d'une courte session de nuit.
Pas de grande démonstration genre blipblip, crack … comme on peut en entendre si souvent avec cette machine, mais une composition réunissant des sonorités agréables à l'écoute ! Enfermé dans le noir avec comme seule lumière les diodes de l’appareil, j'ai improvisé & enregistré cette piste sans arrière pensé et en une seule prise. Le matériel utilisé pour cette réalisation est le suivant : Direct To Disc Fostex D2424 LV / 2 couples "Alesis Midiverb-Midifex" et pour finir une table de mixage analogique WEM Reverbmaster.
Voici le deuxième extrait réalisé avec comme simple instrument l'ARP. Il est possible qu'un jour je ressorte cette session pour poster la totalité des 1h d'enregistrement...
From wikipedia: The ARP 2500, built from 1970–81, was ARP's first product. It was a monophonic analog modular synthesizer equipped with a set of sliding matrix switches above each module. These were the primary method of interconnecting modules. There were also rows of 1/8" miniphone jacks at the end of each row of matrix switches, to interconnect rows of switches. The main 2500 cabinet could hold 12 modules, and optional wing cabinets could each hold 6. The matrix switch interconnection scheme allowed any module's output to connect to any other module's input, unlike the patch cords of competitive units from Moog and Buchla which could obscure control knobs and associated markings, but it had the disadvantage of greater cross-talk.
Although the 2500 proved to be a reliable and user-friendly machine, it was not commercially successful, selling approximately 100 units. A collection of the 2500s most popular modules was packaged into a single, non-modular unit as the ARP 2600, leaving out the matrix switching and more esoteric functions.
The 2500s most notable usage was in the motion picture Close Encounters of the Third Kind to communicate with aliens. The ARP technician sent to install the unit, Phil Dodds, was cast as the musician. The unit featured in the film consisted of a fully loaded main unit, two fully loaded wing cabinets and dual keyboards in a custom case.
Today, many ARP 2500s are either non-functioning or in very poor condition. One good condition copy of the ARP 2500 is currently present in the collection of WORM in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

This title should be part of an album of the same name. The project was abandoned due to lack of time. Composed entirely with the "Roland System 100" synthesizer except in some passages where I have used an Oberheim SEM module. The sequence has been programmed on a Roland MC-4 sequencer.

Here is a short excerpt from a concert that we gave on the occasion of an exhibition for the opening of an performance for Kenneth Hung (KENNETH HUNG 60X1.com) in 2003. I have in my possession as this short excerpt, because everything was lost and the photos too. We have played under the nickname "Electro-Post Ensemble". Sometime we use this nickname for others creations in other style of music that we have. Info:for the little story I've played whole the concert with eyes closed ! One hour before the show it happened to me a very big problem: a angioedema. Following this announcement at the organiser of the event the show must have been canceled, but I wanted to continue it and make this performance despite the pain. The public had come many... more than 250 passionate people of electronic music. After two hour of reflexion, the organiser said ok... You can play if you want :) That the true story and this live will remain very long in my memory because, despite the pain I was able to play without being able to see my machines !
C'était le 23 septembre 2012. Un concert donné en plein air dans la région Bordelaise.

* 1 / Ambiant sounds improvised with later the arpeggiator in stack mode with the ambient sound in real time.
* 2 / Very soft ambient sounds and modulations.

* This is a total improvisation. I have put very little about the 2nd track.
One could imagine or believe that there are several machines ... because the sound is so captivating...
Well no, it's only the Polykobol sounds... alone !
- The creation of ambient sounds was made with a large range programming morphing waveforms.
Only a reverb was used & a delay effect for arpeggiator later.
The variations of waveforms with envelope gives the illusion of having a phaser :)
The calibration of OSC's has done today for this recording. The sound is simply beautiful.
With 4 voices it's already a very fat sounds... So 8... with 16 oscillators !...

* Here is a project of association of musicians and a videographer.
For me, a homecoming to my early compositions. My early works was based on this kind of compositions because, back then I did not have an sequencer. I thus returned to this passion of his that I always in me. The picture and sound are inseparable for me.
I want to thank Monade Ach for his work who remains quite formidable and suits my tastes.
Here is the instrument that I used for this composition. Recorded on a AKAI "Direct to Disk" on three tracks of improvisation. The Korg 707 is an instrument with FM sounds and pleasant possibilities !
